Get a Better Night's Sleep for your Health
Getting a consistent good night’s sleep is one of the most effective ways to keep your body healthy, however sleep patterns are often not considered when focusing on improving overall health.
Your body works on healing itself while you are sleeping, it repairs muscles and wounds, restores the brain allowing for better concentration and memory, maintains bone marrow levels, reduces stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol which reduces heart strain, and strengthens the immune system.
The Facts about "Beauty sleep"
Your skin produces collagen while your sleeping, collagen is a fibrous, supportive protein that helps skin cells adhere to one another and also gives your skin strength and elasticity. A reduction in collagen cells in your skin will therefore cause wrinkles and sagging.
When you sleep your body increases blood flow to your skin, you need at least 7 hours of sleep per night to have a healthy glowing complexation. Sleep denervation will cause your skin to look dull and lifeless and fluids will accumulate under your eyes and cause them to look puffy like you have little bags under your eyes.
